The Family Guy game attempted to capture the spirit of the show, but the jokes felt like they were penned by a lobotomized Seth MacFarlane. Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle (and the improbable number of sequels that it spawned) was a monument to artistic laziness, with gameplay that never varied from level to level, or from game to game for that matter - not even when Bugs Bunny was replaced with Woody Woodpecker for some reason.Ĭertain cartoons just didn't translate. The road is littered with casualties that resulted from these genre hybrid cash-grabs. Back in the nineties, they knew that if they wanted to make a quick buck, all they had to do was take a successful cartoon - or even an unsuccessful cartoon - and cram it however nonsensically into a video game format.
